Giving Hearts Day 2025 - February 13th

What is Giving Hearts Day?

Camp Joy and Giving Hearts Day History

Camp Joy and Giving Hearts Day 2025

Founded in 2008, Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour event for charities in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. Each year, Giving Hearts Day provides a platform for charities to fund their missions through an ever-increasing community of donors, many of whom get to experience the joy of giving for the first time. The longest-running giving day in the country, Giving Hearts Day has helped participating charities raise $195 million since its founding.

Camp Joy has raised over $70,000 since our first Giving Hearts campaign in 2019. Giving Hearts Day has been Camp Joy’s most successful fundraising campaign due to our amazing community. We are thankful for Giving Hearts Day and feel blessed to have this method to raise funds for camp. Over the previous years, we look to dedicate an essential project to Giving Hearts Day. Previous projects include a waterfront remodel, a girls' bathroom, a kitchen remodel, and a swim raft.

Our focus projects for 2025 are to replace the girl cabin’s windows/doors, update the Canteen/Game/Arts interior, and the boys bathroom remodel.

Best camp ever!.”

This is a fantastic Christian camp for kids! I grew up going there and had a blast AND learned about Jesus and how he loves us all. Missionary Wanda was my FAVORITE - I collected many shells for memorizing Bible verses (a very long time ago).

We loved Camp Joy! I came across Camp Joy on a search for something for my daughter to do this summer that would aid her in her struggle with social anxiety but she would not go alone so I signed us up for family camp and it was amazing! We all enjoy going to church but haven't made it a priority but after our stay at Camp Joy we will definitely be making some changes to put God as our #1. The staff was so nice and accepting of my family and made us feel so welcome. We also loved the lake and all of the fun activities made for a fun, relaxing weekend. Thank you everyone at Camp Joy! We will be back!”
